Barbara Pincus

Amston — Barbara “Bunny” Pincus, 79, of Amston and formerly of Long Island, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016.

Born May 14, 1937, in Freeport, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lillian (Lerner) Shebar.

Early on, she had worked in various positions at the family business, Freeport Utilities, and later served as controller for the Israel Cancer Research Fund in Manhattan.

An animal lover, she was a volunteer “puppy walker” for the Guide Dog Federation on Long Island and later, Fidelco in Connecticut.

Private arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home in Colchester.
