Gloria Sharpe

Mystic — Gloria Sharpe, 92, of Mystic died Friday evening, Sept. 23, 2016, at Apple Rehab Mystic.

She was born on July 7, 1924, in West Hartford, the daughter of Walter Fraser and Dora (Starrett) Sharpe.

She worked for many years as an art teacher in the New London school system.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Cohen; three grandchildren, Alison Stewart, Abby Schneider, and Andrew Cohen; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Noank Baptist Church Memorial Garden, 18 Cathedral Heights in Noank.

The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic, is assisting the family.
