Mary Faircloth

Old Lyme — Mary Katherine “Maryann” Faircloth, late of Old Lyme, passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017. She was devoted to her family, caring for her grandmother, aunt and mother as well as her husband, children, grandchildren and great-nephews. She was a friend, confidante, “child whisperer” and animal lover. She also loved bird-watching and feeding wildlife.

Maryann was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Mary Katherine Rand, her brother, Oliver Rand, and her husband, Russell N. Faircloth. She is survived by her children, Don Faircloth, Luann Saffioti, Rusty Faircloth, Tim Faircloth, Kelly Bevington and Stacey Faircloth-Punzalan; her grandchildren, Jared Faircloth, Tammy Faircloth, Katrina Elliott, Alicia Saffioti, Addison Saffioti, Kristy McCoy, Shannon Bragg, Russell Faircloth, Brooke Faircloth, Mitchell Faircloth, Amanda Bevington, Corey Bevington and Danielle Punzalan; and her great-grandchildren, Katie Holcombe, Kayla Elliott, Audrey, Avery and Elijah Bragg, and Natalie Faircloth. She is also survived by her brothers, Francis Rand, Allen Rand, Fred Rand and Sam Rand; her sister, Millie Eddy; her sister and best friend, Helene Teixeira; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, in the chapel of the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. in Centerbrook.
