BALZOTTI SCORES FIVE GOALS AS CONN WOMEN EDGE ECSU
Tina Balzotti scored three of her game-high five goals in the second half, including one that gave the Connecticut College women's lacrosse team its first win of the season, 10-9 over Eastern Connecticut State University in a non-league game on Tuesday.
Conn's Lacey Hale scored to tie the game at 7 with 25 minutes, 33 seconds left. Balzotti followed with back-to-back goals to give the Camels the lead for good. She scored at 9:06 to push Conn's advantage to 10-8.
Julie Loesch and Hale each had two assists for the Camels (1-5). Madison Barker, Jamie Navoni, Erica Hesser and Kirby Heffrin all scored, too.
East Lyme's Paige Schneider scored four times for the Warriors (6-2) and Groton's Michelina Pinto added three goals and an assist.
