Ruth Agrinzones
Mystic — Ruth Haydee “Grammy” “Titi Ruthy” Agrinzones, 70 resided between Mystic and Jacksonville, Fla., and passed away suddenly Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.
She had been receiving care at Cypress Village and had resided between Mystic and Jacksonville since 2008. Ruth was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, on April 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Juan Isabel Martinez Gomez and Maria Lidia Peña Reyes Gomez. She was a hairdresser for many years and a slot supervisor at Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville. She attended the Catholic church, and loved her family and spending time with her loved ones.
Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia Esther Martinez and Juana Martinez; and one brother, José Edgardo Martinez.
Surviving family include three children, Kim “Kimmy” Ramirez Gualandi, Mark Anthony Agrinzones and Tracy Michele Agrinzones Berryman (Keith); five grandchildren, Tiffany Kristina Gualandi, Chelsae Nichole Gualandi, Aiden Christian Agrinzones, Alyssa Christiana Cabrera and Sophia Gabriella Cabrera; three siblings, Hector Manuel Martinez (Migdalia), Iris Sonia Martinez (Benjamin González, dec.) and José Antonio “Tony” Martinez; a number of nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Peeples Family Funeral Homes, 2220 Soutel Drive near Lem Turner Road, Jacksonville, FL 32208, (904) 764-2542 (www.pffh.com). Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Her wish for cremation will be honored by her family.
