Josephine Sciarra

Groton — Josephine Sciarra, 88, of Groton, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven.

She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in New London to the late Bartoli and Mary Concascia Salamanca.

Mrs. Sciarra married the late Aldovino Sciarra on June 7, 1947, in New London. Al passed away on June 16, 1996. For many years they had owned the Central Pizza Restaurant.
