The Day

Kenneth Main

-

Dunedin, Fla. — Kenneth Charles Main of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Norwich, went to heaven on June 9, 2017, after a brief illness. Born on May 19, 1967, Ken grew up in Montville and attended Montville schools. He graduated in 1985 from Ella T. Grasso Technical High School. After joining the Army, Kenny worked steadily for PJ Contino Home Improvement with his friend Pete, and was always the go-to guy when anyone needed a handyman. No job was too small for him and he could never say no.

Kenny loved life and lived it large his way, on his terms. He was a compassionate soul with his love for animals. He enjoyed boating and tinkering with cars. His laugh was infectious as he regaled his family and friends with mischievous stories of his past. As he fought the fight these last few months, Kenny lived his life to the fullest in his 50 short years. No regrets, no looking back. He is now with his loved ones and has assumed his special place in heaven.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Kirchner and her husband, Joe; his father, George Main Jr.; his sister, Tina Hagerman and her husband, John; his brother, George Main III and sisterin-law, Tina Main. He leaves behind his three nephews, all of whom he was extremely proud of.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. on June 25, at St. James Church, 95 CT-2A in Preston. A Celebration of Life will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenny’s name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.
