OLD LYME DEMOCRATS BACK REEMSNYDER FOR FOURTH TERM

-

Old Lyme — The Democratic Town Committee has announced that it has endorsed First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder and Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal, her running mate, for their fourth terms, along with other candidates for town boards and commissions.

About 50 attendees unanimously endorsed the slate of candidates for the Nov. 7 municipal elections at a caucus last Thursday at Town Hall, according to a news release from DTC Chairman David B. Woolley.

Reemsnyder thanked the caucus for the support and discussed the projects, including the Halls Road Improvement initiative, that she would like to move forward, the release stated.

Nosal said she “welcomed running with a qualified slate and noted that the experience and focus of Ms. Reemsnyder were key reasons the Old-Saybrook-Kenyon, R.I., bypass was removed from the FRA’s recent Record of Decision,” the release stated.

The DTC also endorsed: Vicki Urbowicz (R) for Town Clerk; Bennett Bernblum for Board of Finance; Adam S. Burrows and Anna S. Reiter for Board of Finance alternates; George C. Finley for Board of Assessment Appeals; Robert McCarthy for Planning Commission (term 2017-2022) and Jonathan Curtis for Planning Commission (term 2018-2023); Alan W. Todd (U) for Zoning Commission (term 2017-2022) and Paul Orzel (U) for Zoning Commission (term 2018-2023); Marisa Hartmann and Stephanie Mickle for Zoning Board of Appeals alternates; and Jean A. Wilczynski, Richard Goulding, Diane York Linderman, and Martha Shoemaker for the Lyme-Old Lyme Board of Education.
