Joseph Garrison Mildred Clayton

East Lyme — Joseph Garrison, 73, of East Lyme passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Sears) Garrison; his sons, Mark (Ann Marie) Garrison and Scott (Loni) Garrison; stepdaughters, Lisa Daniels, Laurie (Tom) Edwards, Karen Amick, Michelle (Larry) Anderson; stepson, Ryan Guthrie; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Ledyard — Mildred E. “Millie” (Bodanza) Clayton, 76, of Ledyard, wife of Bobby Lee Clayton, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, following an extended illness.

Born in Fitchburg, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Madeline (Iannuzzi) Bodanza. She was a graduate of St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg and Worcester Art Museum School in Worcester, Mass.

She lived in the Westerly/ Ledyard area for over 40 years and before retiring, was a self-employed freelance artist whose unique, innovative and creative style afforded her a rewarding career.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a large, loving extended family as well as a special group of close friends whom she loved like family.

Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family.

The Mystic Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
