Bryan Kiggans, whose last listed address was with his parents in Montville, was reported missing by relatives on Tuesday, according to a state police dispatcher.

Kiggans has three tattoos: four stars behind his right ear, ‘Faith' on his left wrist and ‘Loyalty' on his right forearm.

In an arrest warrant affidavit, Officer Wayne Collins said the run-in occurred about 5 p.m. May 5. According to Collins, 49-yearold Jeff Alfieri told police he was walking north on the southbound shoulder of Route 156 near Smith Neck Road when he heard a vehicle horn. When Alfieri turned around, he told police, he saw a white Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound toward him.

Alfieri told police the truck driver crossed over the yellow centerline and came about 6 feet into the southbound lane as it neared. Alfieri, who told police he feared for his life, jumped out of the shoulder area in reaction.

According to police, Alfieri identified the driver as Lintelmann. Alfieri said Lintelmann is the husband of Alfieri's friend Paige Doerrer, 37, but the couple is in the middle of divorce proceedings. Alfieri did not provide details about his connection to Doerrer.

When police contacted Lintelmann later in May, the affidavit states, he acknowledged having seen Alfieri on Route 156 on May 5. Lintelmann told police Alfieri gave him the middle finger and he gave one in return. Lintelmann said he never drove over the centerline or toward Alfieri, according to the affidavit.

Lintelmann is due Friday in New London Superior Court. Saybrook, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and passing in a no-passing zone.

The cruiser caught up to the vehicle, activated its lights and pulled the vehicle over on the right shoulder, police said. According to police, Sousa was behind the wheel with glossy and bloodshot eyes. The responding trooper also smelled alcohol on Sousa, police said.

Police said Sousa told the trooper he was coming from the Upper Deck bar in Westbrook and heading home. Police said Sousa failed a subsequent sobriety field test.

Released on a $2,500 nonsurety bond, Sousa is scheduled to appear Aug. 22 in Middletown Superior Court.
