The Day

Mathew Kendall

-

Merrimack, N.H. — Mathew Alan Kendall was our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He lived his life passionately and was a kind, selfless person who believed in helping others. He was a lover of history, politics, snowmobiling, bicycling, archery, literature, music and film. He could debate anyone into submission while at the same time giving them the shirt off his back. He recently found a love for woodworking and spent much of his time updating his beautiful lake home in Merrimack, N.H. with his dog, Oma, by his side.

Mathew leaves behind his parents, Beverly and Dennis, his brother, Jason, his sisterin-law, Cora, and his nephew, Sev, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Mat had a close-knit group of loyal friends with whom he enjoyed hiking, snowmobiling, kayaking and many other outdoor activities.

Mathew had a sudden heart attack and was on life support for seventeen days. In the end, he donated his kidneys so that two people could have the opportunity to live a healthy life, even as his life was cruelly and suddenly being taken away from him. He died brave, fierce, generous and kind.

Mathew’s passing on August 11 leaves a hole in our lives that will never be filled, but he will live on in our hearts through our shared memories and stories of the many times we spent together. We will never forget him. We love you Mathew. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA online at www. aspca.org or Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Ave., Montgomery, AL 36104.
