Claire Nasso

Norwich — Claire (Cerutti) Nasso of Watson Drive passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Bridebrook in Niantic.

Claire was born Nov. 10, 1945, in Astoria, N.Y., the daughter of the late Joseph and Simone (Lassauze) Cerutti. She married the late Frank Nasso on Aug. 4, 1966, in Hawaii. He passed away March 26, 2013.

Claire had been employed as a cafeteria manager at the Greeneville School. She loved to garden, crochet, cook and bake. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and bowler. She loved to travel cross country and take cruises. Above all, she especially loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her “fur” grandchild Rico.

Claire is survived by her son, David Nasso; daughters, Michelle Ann Robert and husband, Normand; Yvonne Catherine Dupuis and husband, Mario; grandchildren, Tiffani Marie Nordgren, Travis Mikel Nordgren, Zackary Joseph Robert; several nieces and nephews; and by several great-nieces and -nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Leo Cerutti.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich with a funeral service at 5 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
