Oakdale — Kevin Joseph Wilson, 59, of Oakdale passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

Kevin was born on Aug. 20, 1958, in Lawrence, Mass., to Herbert Joseph Wilson and Betty Ann (Walsh) Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Michele (Falk); his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael Clark; son, Jonathan “Cowboy” and his wife, Emily Merritt; and granddaugh­ters, Mackenzey, Jasmine and Caitlin. Kevin is also survived by his mother, Betty of Salem, N.H.; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Brenda of Derry, N.H.; brother, Timothy of Jensen Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. Kevin was predecease­d by his father, Herbert, and brother, Herbert “Duke” Wilson.

Kevin grew up in Salem, N.H., where he graduated from Salem High School. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduation and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii, where he met his wife, Michele, of Kailua, Hawaii. They were wed on May 31, 1980, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Honolulu.

He served his final year of military service in New London and was honorably discharged in 1981. Kevin worked at Millstone Nuclear Power Station for many years, followed by assignment­s at other power stations across the country. Most recently, he worked for East Coast Valve in Groton. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed working on his motorcycle and those belonging to his friends.

Kevin was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 at Church & Allen Funeral Home on Route 32 in Montville, followed by a service at 6 p.m. Kevin will be laid in his final resting place in Hawaiian Memorial Park, at the foot of the beautiful Ko’olau Mountains in Hawaii, at a later date. Donations will be accepted.
