Stonington boys (10-0) keep it rolling

Old Lyme girls’ soccer also remains unbeaten

Montville — Harrison Hoops had a goal and an assist as the undefeated Stonington High School boys' soccer team beat Montville 5-0 in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division II game Thursday night.

Jamison Magowan, Max Wojtas, Tyler Fidrych and Cam Whalen scored goals, Graham Johnstone, R.J. Parrilla and Blake Edwards had assists and Adam Gibbs made three saves for the Bears (10-0, 5-0). Jose Zuniga made nine saves for Montville (3-6-1, 1-4-1). In other games:

• Kevin Vasquez scored three goals and had an assist as Grasso Tech beat Vinal Tech 4-0 in a Connecticu­t Technical Conference game. Josh Asalde also scored and Joel Potter made two saves for Grasso (3-5).

• Ryan Condon had a goal and two assists as Wheeler beat Tourtellot­te 3-1 in an ECC Division III game, running its winning streak to three. Scott Pion's goal gave Wheeler a 1-0 halftime lead. Condon's unassisted goal in the 43rd minute made it 2-0 and Condon assisted on Ian Spracklin's goal 15 minutes later. Bowen Baker made two saves for Wheeler (4-7, 3-5).

• Keshav Garcia-Patel had a pair of first-half goals as Fitch beat New London 4-0 in an ECC Division I game. Eric Leuchner had two assists, Calvin Jacey and Tyler Cady had goals and Thomas Taber and Owen Henderson had assists for Fitch (55-1, 3-3). Giuseppe Conte made seven saves for New London (18-1, 1-5), which beat Fitch 2-1 on Sept. 19.

• Brandon Sirois scorded three goals, leading Lyman Memorial to a 6-0 win over St. Bernard in an ECC Division III game. Martin Arvidson and Quincy Francois combined for 10 saves for St. Bernard (2-7-1, 2-6-1).

• Norwich Tech lost to Cheney Tech in a CTC game, 1-0. Norwich Tech is 3-7-1.

HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP Girls' soccer

• Mya Johnson had a goal and an assist as Old Lyme remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over Cromwell in a Shoreline Conference game. Maddie Ouellette and Jenny Ritchie scored, Danielle McCarthy and Caroline Wallace had assists and Emily Rivera made nine saves for Old Lyme (10-0, 6-0).

Swimming

• Mary Kathryn Taylor and Grace Vlaun won two events each and were on two winning relays as East Lyme beat Norwich Free Academy 105-78 in an ECC meet. Taylor won the 50-yard freestyle (26.95) and 100 freestyle (58.18) and Vlaun won the 200 freestyle (2:06.50) and 500 freestyle (5:36.08).

Maeve Counter, Katie Keating and Erin Munch also won events and Taylor Gray, Lauren Real and Kate Orefice contribute­d as the Vikings (9-1, 8-0) swept the three relays. Anna Ciriello and Gloria Ng won events for NFA (2-6, 2-5).

Volleyball

• Jamie Stevens had 37 assists as East Lyme beat Montville 2025, 25-12, 25-15, 25-15. Sophie Dubreuil had 11 kills and 10 digs, Lauren Imbriaco had 10 kills and five blocks and Kamryn Ebersole had nine kills and five aces for East Lyme (6-4). Mackenzie Ullrich had 12 assists, seven digs and four kills and Haley Kerwin three kills and nine digs for Montville (4-9).

• Putnam beat Grasso Tech 2517, 25-15, 25-14. Hailey Beal had nine kills, Ahvyon Evans had five assists and four digs and Nastassia Cruz had four digs for Grasso (0-13).

Field hockey

• Devin Lyon assisted on both goals as Fitch/Ledyard beat Woodstock 2-0 in an ECC game. Zoe Pearse and Maci Silvia had first-half goals for Fitch/Ledyard (5-5, 4-4), which has won four of its last five games. Erin Ritter made four saves to earn the shutout.
