Montville — Lorraine May Turley, 88, of Uncasville passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Bridebrook in Niantic.

Born on April 25, 1929, she was the daughter of George and Edith (Sousa) Goodyear. She was married to William M. Turley Sr. of Uncasville; he survives her.

Lorraine enjoyed working for The Smith Memorial Home as a caregiver for many years. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and for her very active role in the Sewing Club in which she dedicated over 40 years. She made a lot of friends over the years and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Bruce Hostetler (Judy) and Mark Hostetler; her daughters, Deborah Duggan (Michael), Judye Davidson (Richard) and Karen Samul (Robert); six grandchild­ren, 10 great-grandchild­ren; eight stepchildr­en, numerous stepgrandc­hildren and great-grandchild­ren; and her sister, Roberta Civardi (Robert).

She was predecease­d by her brother, George Goodyear; sister, Dorothy Bemister; and two stepchildr­en.

The family would like to thank Bride Brook for all of their support and care for Lorraine during her stay.

Burial in Jordan Cemetery was private.
