Edwin Chase

Newington — Edwin Thomas Chase, 87, of Newington and Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away peacefully at Englewood Health and Rehab, Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.

Edwin was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Wethersfield, to Thomas and Mary E. Chase. He attended Chapman Tech and Findley College in Ohio. After school he enlisted in the Marines. He was a professional photographer and loved traveling.

Edwin is survived by his niece, Susan (William) Cash of Rotonda West, Fla.; nephew, David Jakobot of Breckenridge Texas; niece, Donna Martin (Robert) Martin of Palm Springs, Calif.; cousin, Paul (Joann) Chase of Montville; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Riley; sister, Doris R. Zito; and great-nephew, Stephen Jakobot.

Arrangements are made by Kays-Ponger Funeral Home in Englewood, Fla.

Services will be private at a later date.
