Groton — Faye Beebe Chapman passed away peacefully at home in Groton on Sept. 18, 2017. She was the daughter of Arthur and Margaret Beebe of New London. She was a 1954 graduate of New London High School. In recent years, she resided in New London, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Groton.

She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Kim and Bill Carrigan of New London, Margo and Steve Howard of Castro Valley, Calif., and Paige Searle and John May of La Jolla, Calif. She is also survived by seven grandchild­ren. Kelley Carrigan of Norwich, Ryan Carrigan of New London, Shannon Carrigan of Groton, Travis and Kyle Howard of Castro Valley, Calif., and Max and Mica May of La Jolla, Calif. Also surviving are a sister, Carol Hartford of San Diego, Calif., and a brother, Paul Beebe of Coventry, R.I. Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by a brother, Edward (Ned) Beebe, and her longtime companion, Eldon (Buzz) Spencer.

She was a member of Save Ocean Beach, Ledyard Garden Club, Red Hats and Upland Women’s Club.

Her family would like to thank her amazing 24-hour caregivers, Rosa and Angela, the management and staff at Windham Falls Estates where she resided, and the Center for Hospice Care for being wonderful to all of us.

A celebratio­n of Faye’ s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Port ’N Starboard at Ocean Beach.
