Joseph Andruskiewicz
Norwich — Joseph M. Andruskiewicz, 59, a lifelong resident of Norwich, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017. Born in Norwich Sept. 7, 1958, to the late John F. and Gwlayds (Moore) Andruskiewicz, he was a 1976 graduate of Norwich Free Academy. He worked as a boilermaker, primarily at Electric Boat. Recently, he worked at the Franklin Elementary School as head custodian.
He will be remembered as someone with a big heart, great sense of humor and a great gift for conversation.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Ave., Norwich. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Maurice Coulombe
Colchester — Maurice Coulombe died Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the age of 87. Mr. Coulombe had served with the Marines Corps during the Korean War and had worked as a tool and die maker.
He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret (Ouellette); three children, Bernard (Sandra) of East Hampton, James (fiancée, Sarah) of Lebanon and Janine Atkins (Jimmy) of North Carolina; sons-in-law Richard Lefebvre and Ken Raczewski; and many grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 3 p.m. today at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester, followed by a Chapel Service with military honors at 3 p.m. www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com.
