Packers place QB Rodgers on IR

The Green Bay Packers have placed Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve after the quarterback had surgery on his broken collarbone. The team made the move on Friday. Rodgers and Packers coach Mike McCarthy have said that the surgery went well. The procedure was done Thursday outside of Green Bay. The two-time NFL MVP is out indefinitely. McCarthy has said Rodgers could miss the rest of the season after getting hurt last weekend against the Minnesota Vikings. Backup Brett Hundley has replaced Rodgers. He will make his first NFL start on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Bucs QB Winston will start against Bills

Tampa Bay's Jameis Winston tested his injured throwing shoulder in practice and will start Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter made the announcement Friday after the third-year quarterback worked with the first-team offense for the first time since spraining his right shoulder during last week's 38-33 loss at Arizona. Winston was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, taking "mental reps" while backup Ryan Fitzpatrick prepared to face the Bills. "Jameis threw the ball well today," Koetter said following the team's hour-long practice at One Buccaneer Place. "Jameis is our starter. He will be out there." Winston has made 37 consecutive starts after entering the NFL as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 draft.

Fitzpatrick, a 13-year veteran with 116 career starts for six other teams, replaced him against the Cardinals and threw for 290 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions to help the Bucs (2-3) rally from a 31-0 deficit.

NFL considers discipline for Lynch

The NFL is reviewing possible disciplinary measures for Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, who was ejected from the game against the Kansas City Chiefs after he shoved an official when he ran onto the field during a scuffle.

League spokesman Joe Lockhart said the NFL is considering all options and would announce its decision.

"There is a schedule for fines for all offenses. For physical contact with an official, in excess of $30,000. There's entering a fight area, unnecessary roughness," Lockhart said. "On some cases, suspension is in order."

The scuffle started when Oakland quarterback Derek Carr was hit late on a run by Kansas City's Marcus Peters midway through the second quarter Thursday night. Raiders offensive linemen Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn immediately confronted Peters.

Lynch then sprinted onto the field from the bench to join the fray. Line judge Julian Mapp tried to break up the fight but Lynch pushed him and grabbed his jersey . Lynch got a personal foul and was ejected for making contact with the official.

Jeju, South Korea — Luke List fired a 5-under 67 to take a one-stroke lead after the second round of the CJ Cup on Friday.

List, who is looking to win on the U.S. PGA Tour for the first time, carded five birdies, including one on the par-5 9th, his final hole, to move to 9 under.

"Some positive vibes there," List said. "Anytime you get a bogey-free you are really happy about it. The wind was tricky but I was able to save par a lot and play solid in the back nine."

Three-time tour winner Lucas Glover compensated for a pair of bogeys with seven birdies in a 67 and was tied for second with Scott Brown, who had a 70.

A day after firing a 63 for the first-round lead, Justin Thomas made a 74 to slip into a share of fourth with Australian golfer Cameron Smith (68) at 7 under.

Thomas took a three-shot lead into the second round, but an opening 3-over-par 39 on the front brought him back to the pack. The second-round 74 is Thomas' worst score since an 80 in the second round of the British Open.
