Rosemary Urquhart
New London — Rosemary Urquhart, 72, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
It is with much gratitude that the family wishes to acknowledge and thank all of the staff for their professionalism, compassion and good care of Rosemary.
Rosemary was born on July 29, 1945, in New London, where she grew up and was educated. She resided at Harbor Village North Health & Rehabilitation Center in New London and previously at Eliza Huntington Home in Norwich. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all of the staff for their kindness and good care of Rosemary.
She was a kind and good-hearted woman who chose to live simply and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She will be sadly missed.
She leaves behind her beloved sister, Kathleen Smith and family; four children, Christine Manville and husband, Daniel, Deborah Fowler, John Contino Jr., Scott Contino and wife, Pamela; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer Contino, Crystal Manville, Dylan Manville, Jacob Fowler, Zachary Fowler, Nicholas Contino, Joseph Contino and Sophie Contino.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick N. Robbins; mother, Elsie K. Scaplen (Clark); brother, Fredrick N. Robbins Jr.; and her husband, Thomas Urquhart.
In memory of Rosemary, donations may be made to The American Heart Association. Services will be private. Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, is assisting the family with arrangements.
