Norwich Tech/Holy Family earns tourney berth

New London — Norwich Tech/Holy Family qualified for the Class M state tournament with a 2-2 tie against New London in a nonleague girls' soccer game Monday.

Emnit Miskiewicz's goal (Erin McBride assisted) with nine minutes left wiped out a 2-1 deficit for the Warriors, who finished the regular season 7-9. Rebecca Starkey also scored for Norwich Tech and Zanaya Sligh had an assist.

Bria Fielding and Desiree Johnson each had a goal for New London (3-11-1). In other games: • Kara Beaupre scored two goals to help Montville celebrate Senior Night with a 2-0 win over St. Bernard. Lauren Velazquez and Alexis Delucia added assists for the Indians, who improved to 10-5-1. St. Bernard fell to 9-6.

• Camryn Werbinski and Mia Taylor scored goals during Williams School's 7-2 loss to Watkinson. Goalie Olivia Guinan made five saves for the Blues (5-5-1).

Boys' soccer

• Chris Charette set up Ian Kamperschr­oer for Ledyard's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Lyman Memorial. Ken Turner had seven saves for Ledyard (10-5-1).

• Matt Laliberte scored two goals to lift Bacon Academy past East Lyme 3-1. Alec Kosinski scored an unassisted goal for East Lyme (7-7-2) and goalie Sean Heaney had five saves.

• Five different players scored goals for Cromwell in a 5-0 shutout of Old Lyme in the Shoreline Conference. Goalie Ryan Tetrault had nine saves for the Wildcats, who dropped to 0-11-4 overall.

Volleyball

• Anna Magano had nine kills to power Waterford past Bacon Academy, 25-17, 2518, 25-9, in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division II match. Molly Kosma had nine digs and Gretchen Dusza added 25 assists for Waterford (12-5, 4-4).

• Jamie Stevens had 14 digs and 29 assists in East Lyme's 3-1 loss to Lyman Memorial in a meeting between the ECC Division I and Division III champions. Madison Bell added 25 digs for East Lyme (11-6). Emerson Bailey had 17 kills for Lyman.

• Montville lost to Woodstock Academy 25-15, 2520, 25-18 in ECC Division II. Abby Diamantini had nine digs while Savanna Perkins had three kills and Indigo Whisman added two aces for Montville (5-10-1, 2-7-1).

• Natalie Golden had four aces and nine digs in Old Lyme's 3-1 loss to East Hampton in the Shoreline Conference. Game scores were 20-25, 25-13, 2514, 25-21. Taylor Thompson had four blocks and five kills for Old Lyme.

• Wilcox Tech defeated Grasso Tech 25-14, 25-23, 2521 in the Connecticu­t Technical Conference. Rhema Phillips had five kills, three digs and four service points for Grasso, while Nastassia Cruz had nine digs and two service points and Hailey Beal added four kills, two blocks, three digs, four service points and two aces.
