Robert McCarthy Jr.

Pawcatuck — Robert C. McCarthy Jr., 61, of W. Broad St., Pawcatuck, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Carmella and Robert C. McCarthy Sr.

Robert worked as a welder with Electric Boat in Groton for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed cycling and snow skiing.

He is survived by his three siblings, Mark McCarthy of Westerly, Wayne McCarthy of Colchester and Diane Gross of Pawcatuck; as well as one niece.

Visiting hours are omitted. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at New Song Assembly, 436 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will be private.
