Williams girls make it three straight wins

New London — The Williams School girls' basketball team stretched its winning streak to three with a 45-23 victory over the Forman School on Friday.

Freshman captain Audrey Matson led the Blues with 17 points and senior captain Marie Grillo (15) and freshman Olivia Kaplan (13) also scored in double figures. Williams (3-1) had 15 steals.

H.S. boys' basketball

• St. Thomas More lost to Rocky Hill School, 99-69. Tyshun Bryant had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists and Tyler Rudolph had 17 points and seven rebounds for T-More (0-2).

Men's hockey

• Johnny Austin and Maxim Letunov scored power plays in the third period to break a 2-2 tie as UConn upset No. 16 Colgate 4-2 at the XL Center in Hartford. The Huskies (8-11-2) head into the exam break having won five of their last six games. Jessie Schwartz scored two goals tolead UConn and goalie Adam Huska made 28 saves. Colgate (8-6-2) held a 30-24 edge in shots.

• Colby beat Connecticu­t College 2-0 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game. Connor Rodericks made 32 saves for Conn (2-4, 2-3)

Men's basketball

• Miles Tention scored 22 points with 10 rebounds and three assists as St. Thomas More beat Naval Prep 85-70. Everrette Hammond had six rebounds and four assists and Jair Currie had seven assists and five rebounds for T-More (4-4).
