Cathe Middleton

-

Niantic — On Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, Cathe Marie Middleton earned her wings. She was born to the late Robert and Rita (Creamer) Middleton on Sept. 7, 1943, in New Britain, and raised on Fishers Island, and lived in both Niantic and New London.

Cathe leaves behind her brother, Robert Middleton, and her sister, Nancy Middleton, both of Waterford; her children, Dawn Shea and Donald Paczowski, both of Niantic. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Ashley and Jessica Paczowski and Natasha and Bryant Shea, and three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kayleigh and Billy. Cathe was a loving aunt to Santino Timpanelli and Danielle, Erica and Andrea Middleton, and great aunt to six. She also leaves behind her two fur-babies, Trouble and Speedo.

Mom enjoyed traveling and vacationed in many wonderful places, from cross-country camping when we were kids, to visiting Spain and France. Vacationing in New Hampshire (where she had her “ink” done) and the New York Lake Region, and flying south to her “second” home in Florida before the snowflakes fell. Oh, and plenty of day-tripping around New England and the east coast.

She worked in many fields, from waitressing to hosting to medical coding and number crunching, Cathe did it all. She worked hard for the life she built for herself and family and enjoyed the fruits of her labor.

Then there was Hospice. Earth Angels. Special, dedicated, wonderful people. They truly help in easing the way to the new normal that soon will come. Thank You.

Mom touched the lives of so many, no matter if it was a light touch of kindness, or a healthy dose of love and comfort, or just a slap on the head, she was there for you. Join us in celebrating the life of Cathe, Cat, Momcat, Grammie Cat. A fabulous lady, wonderful mom, grandma, aunt, sister and friend.

A Celebration of Cathe’s life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.
