Josephine Pezzolesi

Niantic — Josephine A. Pezzolesi, 97, formerly of Niantic, died Dec. 12, 2017, at Bayview Healthcare in Waterford.

She was born in New London, Aug. 28, 1920, the daughter of Secondo and Anna Frausini Gori. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pezzolesi April 1, 1996.

Mrs. Pezzolesi is survived by two sons, Dennis Pezzolesi (Geraldine) of Niantic, Lee Pezzolesi (Diane) Pezzolesi of Waterford; a daughter Linda Sullivan (predeceased by Edmund); and a sister Diana Petrini of Waterford. She has 10 grandchildren, Dennis (Lauren), Debra (Jim), Tia (Mark), Joseph (Laura), Todd (Liz), Kelley (David), Shannon (Steve), Jeffery (Viorica), Gregory, and Marcia (Gilmar). She also has 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Greta Salegna; and a brother, Brian Gori.

Mrs. Pezzolesi’s family would like to thank the staff at Bayview Health Care for their care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, in St. Joseph Church, New London. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, 227 Dunham St., Norwich, CT 06360; or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Thomas L.
