R.I. police arrest Conn. man after car chase through 3 communities

Dina Detillio, 36, of 13 Kahama St., Groton, was charged Saturday with fourth-degree larceny.

Dylan Stenz, 43, of 281 Gardner Ave. Apt. E2 was charged Saturday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Nicholas Brownlee, 23, of 195 Laurel Hill Ave. was charged Friday with violation of protective order.

Turae West, 19, of 66 Jay St. Apt. 4 was charged Friday with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and second-degree failure to appear.

David Mazzella, 46, of 11 West St. was charged Friday with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

Shane Cristello, 47, of 238 Williams St. was charged Friday with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Abijah Cossou, 25, listed as homeless, was charged Thursday with violation of protective order.

Alexandra Aponte, 28, of 309 Crystal Ave. Apt. 13E was charged Thursday with violation of protective order.

Anthony Villanueva, 45, of 24 Rogers St. was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct and threatening.

Dawn Marie Orbe, 48, of 110 Squire St. was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

Thea Rivers, 26, of 110 Squire St. was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

Brayan Taverez-Nunez, 18, of 216 Branford Ave. Apt. 41, Groton, was charged Wednesday with driving with a suspended registration or license, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and improper use of marker, registration or license.

Keith Rochefort, 33, of 325 Huntington St. was charged Wednesday with breach of peace, third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

Wayne Norton, 54, of 19 Moore Ave. was charged Wednesday with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, driving without insurance and improper use of marker, registration or license.

Ronnie Bowen, 58, of 50 Center St. was charged Wednesday with breach of peace and third-degree strangulation.

Izaya Gregory Dixon, 19, of 169 Montauk Ave. Apt. 2 was charged Tuesday with second-degree failure to appear and failure to respond to infraction.

Johnston, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island State Police have arrested a man after police pursued him through three communities.

WPRI-TV reports that police began chasing 23-yearold Aaron Michael Rugar of Torrington, Conn., after spotting him driving erratically through parts of Foster, Scituate and Johnston Friday evening.

Police said the car Rugar was driving had been stolen earlier Friday from Vernon, Conn.

Foster police began the chase in their town following Rugar east on Route 6 through Scituate. The chase eventually came to an end in Johnston in the area of the Cumberland Farms on Hartford Avenue.

Police said Rugar hit seven cars during the pursuit and faces a series of charges including possession of a stolen motor vehicle and assault with a dangerous weapon for allegedly driving the car toward the Foster police chief.
