GROTON ADULT EDUCATION HOLDS REGISTRATION
Groton — Groton Adult Education is hosting a registration night for GED and ESL classes tonight, and registration nights for adult high school credit diploma classes on Jan. 24 and 25.
All registration nights take place at West Side Middle School, 250 Brandegee Ave.
Registration for GED and ESL classes is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Classes begin Monday, Jan. 8, and will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
High school credit diploma classes will be held during this time on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Registration is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 25.

Classes are free and open to Groton residents who are 17 or older and have not completed high school. Those registering in person are asked to bring two forms of identification, proof of address, and school transcripts, if available.
Carney will also hold office hours from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the Grady Thomas Room at the Acton Public Library, 60 Old Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook and from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Lyme Public Library, 482 Hamburg Road in Lyme.
“These sessions will provide constituents with an opportunity to ask questions or share their ideas and concerns about state government,” according to a notice announcing the office hours. Anyone with questions can call Carney’s office at (800) 842-1423 or email devin. carney@housegop.ct.gov.
Carney will also hold office hours with Rep. Jesse MacLachlan, R-Westbrook, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Westbrook Public Library at 61 Goodspeed Drive.
