Quaker Hill — Anna Maria Malootian, of Quaker Hill, entered eternal life on Dec. 30, 2017, in the comfort of her loving family.

She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Westport, the daughter of the late Carmelo and Mary (Passafiume) Arcudi. She was united in marriage to Markay Malootian on Jan. 2, 1956. Mr. Malootian survives her.

Anna was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Waterford school system for 27 years. She served on the Democratic Town Committee, the Waterford Board of Education, the Waterford RTM, and the Waterford Board of Selectmen. After retirement, she became a docent at Lyman Allyn Museum, a member of the Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and an attendee at La Tavola Italiana at Connecticu­t College.

Besides her husband Mark, of nearly 62 years of marriage, she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Timothy and wife Tracey Malootian, Anita Malootian Kravitz and husband David Kravitz, and Robert and wife Erica Spotts; eight grandchild­ren; and four siblings, Rose DiMartino, Elvira Ebling, Angela Mckelvey and Joseph Arcudi. She was predecease­d by two brothers, John and Bruno Arcudi.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, at the Impellitte­ri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Guests are asked to gather for a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 63 Old Norwich Road, Quaker Hill. Interment in Jordan Cemetery will be private.
