Thomas Dedrick Jr.
Waterford — Thomas E. Dedrick Jr., 52, of Waterford, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 12, 1965, in New London, the son of Thomas E. Dedrick Sr. and Mary Ann (Pinch) Clark, both of Waterford. A graduate of Waterford High School, Tommy was employed by the State of Connecticut Highway Department. He was a life member of Cohanzie Fire Department where he volunteered as a firefighter and EMT, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching all sports.
In addition to his parents, Mary Ann Clark and Thomas and (Margorie) Dedrick, he is survived by a “very special daughter” Madisyn Dedrick of Waterford; a brother, James Dedrick (Paula) of Waterford; a half brother, Calvin Dedrick of Waterford; two stepbrothers, Pete Clark (Jennifer) of Waterford and Scott Johnson (Debbie) of Griswold; a stepdaughter, Marisa Perkins; and a half sister, Victoria Eberhardt (Robert) of Waterford.
He was predeceased by his stepfather, Stewart Clark; a sister, Lisa Dedrick; a stepbrother, Jeffery Clark; his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Minnie Pinch; and his paternal grandparents, Gerri Yering and Edward Dedrick.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. A graveside ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at St. Mary Mausoleum, Jefferson Avenue, New London.
