“If pot legalization is so popular, then this should be a slam dunk for Congress. Either way, it is a federal law and laws were meant to be enforced. Wake up Congress. Time to play nice with each other and get to work.” —Wylie “Putting eggs in weed basket instead of fiscal responsibility and competence.” —Leo
“I am in agreement with the thoughts on what Congress should do, however one item is missed from the opinion; states are legalizing pot for one reason and one reason only — the money that they will collect. Please stop trying to make legalization about anything other than the dollars.” —Keith J. Robbins
“Funny how Republicans are all in for state rights until they’re not. Like abortion and voter suppression, same-sex marriage, religious freedom, wedding cakes for same-sex marriages, gun registration…” —Tom Donnee “TD wrong, wrong, wrong again.” —Maryanne01
“The federal government stance on the matter should be to simply let the states decide for themselves.” —Scatter
“Anybody that wants to smoke pot, smokes pot. It has always been that way. I know a lot of people that don’t smoke pot, because they don’t WANT to smoke pot. But, I do not know anyone that does not smoke it because it is illegal. The people that smoke it buy mostly crap weed from people that do not pay for licensing, and zero tax is collected. No local jobs are created. No distribution deals. No rent for storefronts is paid. Nothing, just cash going up in smoke. It really is time to do this.” —Rich Lather “We sure need ANOTHER legal intoxicant.” —Longtime Mystic Resident
