POLICE INVESTIGATING BODY FOUND ALONG SHORE IN OLD LYME

Old Lyme — State police say they are investigating a deceased person found along the shore in the area of Hatchett’s Point Monday afternoon.

Detectives from Central District Major Crime are currently on scene and investigating, according to police. State Police from Troop F had earlier responded when the body was reported about 3 p.m.

First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder said state police notified her that a body had washed up on shore and they were investigating.
