Josephine DelPriore

Waterford — Josephine M. DelPriore, 87, of Waterford, entered eternal life on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, in the comfort of her loving family.

She was born Sept. 22, 1930, in New London, the daughter of the late Samuel and Frances (Mariani) Turello. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Williams Memorial Institute. She was united in marriage to Rocco DelPriore Sr., on Nov. 18, 1950, in St. Joseph Church in New London. Mr. DelPriore died June 14, 2011.

Josephine was a communicant of St. Paul Church, St. Paul’s Sewing Group and was a member of the Goshen Firehouse Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two children, Gerard “Gerry” DelPriore of Massachusetts and Susan DelPriore of Waterford.

She was predeceased by a son, Rocco DelPriore Jr. in 1983; four siblings, Peter and Santos “Juny” Turello, Patricia Girotti and Nicoletta “Nikki” Howard.

Relatives and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, in St. Paul Church, 190 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford. Interment in Saint Mary Cemetery. There are no public calling hours.

The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with her care.
