Frank Burgess Jr.

New London — Frank P. Burgess Jr., 87, of New London, entered eternal life on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, in the comfort of his loving family.

He was born Jan. 24, 1931, in New London, the son of the late Frank and Alice (Fellows) Burgess Sr. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Chapman Technical High School. He was united in marriage to the former Concetta “Connie” Vocolina, Mrs. Burgess passed on Aug. 31, 2010.

Mr. Burgess owned and operated the Burgess Title Co. for many years and was a life member of the New London Lodge of Elks 360. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a patron of the Birdseye Café and Hot Rod’s Café in New London, and was loved by all.

Frank’s family would like to thank the nurses on 6.2 at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for the special care given to their dad.

He is survived by four children and their spouses, Donna and Victor Spinnato of Waterford, Debbie and Tom Stuckey of East Lyme, Diana and Tony Payne of Waterford, Richard and Laurie Burgess of New London; seven grandchildren, Aimee Stuckey, Melissa Menestrina, Michael Spinnato, Christopher Payne, Angela Young, PJ Burgess and Kelsey Phillips; and nine great-grandchildren, Briana, Kaygan, Kylie, Brielle, Dylan, Emma, Ben, Jayce and Abram.

His family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, followed by a funeral home service at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
