THREE FACE CHARGES IN LEDYARD BURGLARY

Ledyard — Police arrested three people Friday after they say they entered a home at 16 Marlene Drive and stole items.

Dock Ballard, 72, of 1446 Hartford-New London Turnpike, Oakdale; Daniel R. Worden, 52, of 23 Ledgewood Drive, Gales Ferry; and Diane V. Frasscarel­li, 53, of 14 Marlene Drive, were each charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny. Worden was also charged with possession of drug parapherna­lia.

Ballard was held on a $75,000 bond while Worden and Frasscarel­li were each held on a $50,000. They are scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court Monday.

Police said that at approximat­ely 7:25 p.m. they received a report of a possible burglary in progress at 16 Marlene Drive. Officers who responded found the trio had opened a window and entered the home. Police said they took various items from the home and placed them in two vehicles in the driveway.
