Jolly Brown
Old Lyme — Jolly Jean Brown, 80, of Old Lyme, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, in Scarborough, Maine, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert H. Brown.
Born in St. Albans, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Curtis MacArthur and Marion (Collins) MacArthur. Jolly was the sister of the late Joyce McArthur and is survived by her sister, Dawn Chabot (husband Louis) of Scarborough, Maine.
Jolly Jean was the mother of Vicki J. McOsker (husband, Daniel) of Scarborough, Maine and Patti K. D’Ambrosio (husband, Marshall) of Cranston, R.I. Jolly was the cherished grandmother of Erin McOsker, Derek McOsker (wife, Shawna), Ashley D’Ambrosio (fiancé, Stephen Carrig), Ryan McOsker, Nicole D’Ambrosio and Haley McOsker. She was also the adored great-grandmother of Corey McOsker.
Jolly Jean served the shoreline community for over 40 years in many local bank branches. In 1972, she became one of the first female bank officers in the State of Connecticut. Jolly Jean was a member of the Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce, chairperson of the local United Way, the treasurer of the local American Heart Association and volunteer at Christ the King Church.
A Christian Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough, Maine, a reception to follow at the church.
