Betty Card

Montville — Betty D. Card, 68, of Uncasville, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, with her devoted husband and niece by her side.

She was born in New London, on April 1, 1949, to the late John and Stella (Turek) Levandoski. Betty was a graduate of Montville High School. She met her husband, Edwin D. Card, while working at Hermitage Hospital Products. They enjoyed 43 years of marriage. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, active in the Montville Senior Center, Weight Watchers and was a former member of the Toastmasters. She enjoyed many hobbies such as traveling, genealogy and going to the casino.

Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a sister, Donna Wade of New Haven; and many nephews and nieces on the Card side, including Danielle “Danni” Douglas of Uncasville, with whom she shared a special relationship.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Turnpike, Uncasville. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Church, Maple Avenue, Uncasville, with burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
