Trump administration reckless with security
Hearing by Senate Intelligence Committee with intelligence community chiefs on our global terror threats revealed frightening inadequacies concerning Russia’s ability to interfere in our elections. The heads of the entire intelligence community confirmed that the Trump administration has taken no action to launch a coordinated defense against future cyberattacks.
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats stated that there is evidence that Russian agencies are already preparing to attack the 2018 midterm elections. President Trump downplays the “Russian story” saying it was invented by Democrats to explain Clinton’s loss.
Trump has refused to initiate sanctions against Russia for their election meddling, which were passed by Congress and signed into law by him. We know the White House has about 100 staff with only interim security clearances. The list included recently fired Rob Porter, White House staff secretary, who handled documents like the extremely secret President’s Daily Briefing.
Among those with only interim security clearance are Jared and Ivanka Kushner. Both are senior advisors and have access to Top Secret information, as well as Sensitive Compartmented Information.
Remember, in May of 2017, Kushner met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak to discuss establishing a direct line of secure communication from the White House to the Kremlin, possibly run out of Russian diplomatic facilities to avoid White House security measures. This administration is alarmingly reckless with national security. Bruce Dasinger East Lyme
