The Day

Sandra Adams

Norwich — Sandra Dee (Romeo) Adams, 56, of Norwich, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

She was born on Dec. 18, 1961, in New London, to Bertha Veronica (Jackowski) Romeo. Sandra’s capacity for love and compassion were boundless. Her generosity touched anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

As a friend, Sandra’s heart shined. Her little leather book overflowed with phone numbers of friends old and new to whom she gave her time endlessly.

As a sister, her love for her brothers and sisters knew no bounds. The youngest of eight, she spoke constantly of the joys of growing up in a bustling household — joys she carried with her into adulthood.

As a daughter, Sandra was exceptionally adoring. She idolized her mother, Bertha Veronica, whom she lost too soon. She spoke daily of her kindness, love and dedication and embodied her mother’s loving spirit every day of her life.

As a mother, she was simply the best anyone could have asked for. From a young age she filled her children with love. Her selflessness was unmatched. Regardless of time, context or convenience, our happiness was her number one priority and we are forever indebted. Like her mother, our mother represented the pinnacle of goodness: loving, generous and compassionate to the core.

It is heartbreaking to say goodbye, but take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the many people who she touched.

She is survived by three children, David, Zachary and Avery; three grandchildren, Vincent, Emerson and Lily; and six siblings, Barbara Johnson, Raymond Romeo Jr., Donald Romeo, Ralph Romeo, Arthur Romeo Sr., and Pamela Tucker.

In addition to her beloved late mother, Sandra is predeceased by her dear sister, Deborah Gorra.

Sandra will be quietly laid to rest by her children beside her mother in Cedar Grove Cemetery. We ask for those she loved to celebrate her life peacefully with the ones you hold dear and to remember the love Sandy gave to this world. We love you forever.
