Coast Guard baseball team beats Albertus

New London — Jeremy Lhotka went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run as the Coast Guard Academy baseball team defeated Albertus Magnus 6-3 on Monday. Freshman Nate Ralph allowed four hits over six innings with two earned runs and six strikeouts to earn his first win for the Bears (6-4). Alex Cordes added a double and two RBI and Will Stephens and Luke Thompson each had two hits and scored. Brandon Clark went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI for the Falcons (4-7).

Men’s lacrosse

• Brennan Moore had seven goals and six assists as Albertus Magnus overwhelme­d Mitchell College 21-4. Jade Shields had two goals and an assist for the Mariners (0-6) and Montville’s Kyle Marsh had a goal and an assist. Jesse McKeever added a goal.

Connecticu­t Sun

• Mohegan Sun Sports, which includes the Connecticu­t Sun and New England Black Wolves, announced that it will partner with Select Physical Therapy.

Select Physical Therapy will provide the team with athletic trainers for games and practices, as well as physical therapists and access to the organizati­on’s state-of-the-art facilities. It has assigned former New York Liberty and UConn athletic trainer Rosemary Ragle to the team for the upcoming Sun season. Ragle worked at UConn from 1999 through 2016 before leaving for the Liberty. Ragle joined Select Physical Therapy after two seasons in the WNBA. She was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Select Physical Therapy,” said Amber Cox, vice president of the Sun and Black Wolves. “And being assigned someone of Rosemary’s caliber — with her experience and impeccable reputation — it makes our day-to-day care and treatment of our Sun players unmatched in the WNBA.”
