Frank Jurczik

Montville — Frank Anthony Jurczik, 64, of Oakdale, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Frank was born June 3, 1953, to the late Frank L. and Adele (Ulcickas) Jurczik. He graduated from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1971. On Oct. 27, 1979, he married Susan Yohe at Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown.

Frank worked for United Builders Supply in Westerly. He enjoyed his job and all the people he worked with and met along the way. Frank’s biggest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, eating pickles with Liam or going on adventures with Tyler. Frank was a fan of all things UConn. He was a season ticket holder for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams and enjoyed going to all the games. Frank could fix anything and eagerly helped his family with projects, always putting others before himself.

In addition to his wife Susan, Frank is survived by his children, Kathryn Hollis and her husband, Michael, of Norwich and Michael Jurczik and his wife, Jessica, of Southington; and his beloved grandsons, Tyler and Liam Hollis. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa Dumais and her husband, John, of Naples, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Nancy Kogut and her husband, Christopher and Amy Guertin and her husband, Arthur, both of Norwich; nieces, Hannah, Madison and Julie; and nephew, Jackson. He also left behind many wonderful friends.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Hartford Hospital for their care, support and kindness during Frank’s time there.

Calling hours for Frank will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 22 Maple Ave., Uncasville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Failure, VAD and Heart Transplant Fund at Hartford Hospital.
