The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will host a workshop entitled “Maximizing Website Visits” on Wednesday, April 25, noon-1 p.m. at the Chamber’s office, 914 Hartford Turnpike, second floor, Waterford. Marketing experts Maria Miranda and Brian Pearson, both of Miranda Creative Inc., will show guests how to use their business’ website to capture online leads. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch. Admission is free for employees who work for any Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT member business. Admission for all other guests is $10. CURE Innovation Commons will partner with the Ignite Program of Thames River Innovation Place to present Discrimina­tion and Harassment Avoidance Training for entreprene­urs, small businesses and start-ups on Wednesday, April 25, from 3-5 p.m. The event will take place at CURE Innovation Commons, 93 Shennecoss­ett Road, Groton. The training will be presented by Mary Gambardell­a from Wiggin and Dana. This training is being offered to business owners, HR profession­als, managers and employees for $40.
