Helen LeBeau

-

New London — Helen Catherine (Flynn) LeBeau, 54, of New London, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 20, 2018.

She is survived by her four daughters, Catherine J., Jacqueline N., Gillian L. and Madeline C. LeBeau.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas F. and mother, Jane Ronan Flynn; as well as her brother, Lawrence Flynn.

Many respected her as a very strong single parent, after the passing of her beloved husband, Bruce C. LeBeau, in January 1999.

Helen lived her life enjoying the company of her four daughters. She enjoyed watching them grow up and taught them about approaching life with a positive attitude. She was a not only their mother, but their best friend. She was always a phone call away with the answer to any question or just to chat.

Helen loved the beach and summer. She visited Block Island often with her girls and took them on the trip of a lifetime to the Bahamas. Helen had an endless list of tricks she could do off the raft of Guthrie Beach and could serve the best ice-cold margaritas.

Colder weather did not stop her from enjoying her time with friends and family. Fall meant she could cheer on the New England Patriots. Along with the company of her girls there was always the occasional visit from her brothers, Christopher, William, Timothy and Thomas Flynn, along with her nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Patrick, Lawrence, Caroline, Christopher, Cody and Ryan Flynn. This was the time of year she would relax with family and friends along with the company of Cooper and Blitzen (the family dogs).

A celebration of Helen’s life will be celebrated from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Pilot House at Ocean Beach Park, New London. Burial is private.

Donations in her memory may be made to Ocean Beach Park, c/o Dave Sugrue, 1225 Ocean Ave., New London, CT 06320.
