Agnes O’Donnell

-

Valrico, Fla. — It is with a heavy heart we announce the recent passing of our beloved Agnes Rose (Foster) O’Donnell on Monday, March 26, 2018, after a brief bout of ill health. She is and always will be dearly missed, not just by our family but her friends whom she cherished.

She was the daughter of Mabel (O’Leary) Foster and Cecil Gibbs, later adopted by Clarence L. Foster; the wife of Robert E. O’Donnell; mother of Terrance Foster O’Donnell; loving nana of Kelly L. (O’Donnell) Case; great-grandmother of Kyleigh, Teagan and Logan; motherin-law of Susan J. (Naylor) O’Donnell; and aunt to Kathy (Fitzgerald) Poblete.

Agnes was a wonderful lady, kind, loving, fun and sincere. She loved her country, was proud to be a past madam president of the F.O.E, member of AMVETS and VFW, always supporting her family and veterans.

She was born in Connecticut, living there until Bob’s retirement in 1989 then moved to Valrico, Fla. Agnes was blessed to have traveled through C.L. Foster’s naval service, actually being stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during the attack.

In Connecticut, teaching kindergarten and bowling were her passions, but nothing greater than her family. There will be no service or memorial at this time per Agnes’s request. Her ashes will be taken to Connecticut to join her husband Bob and her parents.

The O’Donnell family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Mease Countryside Hospital I.C.U. unit for their care, love and compassion.

No flowers please. Donations may be made to “Wounded Warrior Project” or F.O.E Eagles # 3566.

“SLAINTE MOM!”
