Mystic — Virginia Mae (Green) Firgeleski, 90, of Mystic, wife of the late John Firgeleski, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Fairview Odd Fellows Home in Groton.

Born in Andover, N.J., she was the daughter to the late Harold and Phoebe (Dewey) Green and lived in Mystic since 1930.

Virginia was a retired bookkeeper and head cashier for 28 years with the former A&P Supermarke­t in Mystic. Previously, she was the owner and operator of The Priceless Gift, an inspiratio­nal gift shop in Mystic.

She was an active member of the Mystic, Osprey and Unity Rebekah Lodges and an over 60-year member in the Independen­t Order of Odd Fellows, Rebekah branch. She also served as past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Connecticu­t. Her faithful service as a Rebekah earned her the Decoration of Chivalry, the highest honor that can be bestowed on a Rebekah sister. Virginia also was a Golden Sheaf (50-year) member of the former Mystic Grange.

She is survived by her three children, Thomas E. Firgeleski of Mystic, Margaret Drummond of Rockville, R.I., and Susan Jenssen of Richardson, Texas; her grandchild­ren, Kim Brazee of Groton, Stacy Pouliot of Hamden, Ryan Pouliot of Mystic, and Jeffrey and Cale Drummond of Rockville, R.I.; two great-grandsons, James and Thomas Firgeleski; and a special family friend, Peggy Trakas of Ledyard. She was predecease­d by sisters Janice Post and Anna Gadreau Ferguson, and a brother Clarence Green.

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1. A service will follow at noon at the Old Mystic United Methodist Church, 44 Main St., Old Mystic, where Virginia was a longtime member. Her burial will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.

The family requests no flowers, rather a donation in her memory to Fairview Odd Fellows Home of CT, 235 Lestertown Road, Groton, CT 06340.
