POLICE: TWO MEN ARRESTED IN NORWICH, 218 BAGS OF FENTANYL SEIZED
Norwich — City police say they have arrested two men and seized more than 200 bags of the powerful opioid fentanyl.
Kevin Mastalerz, 32, of 100 Kimball Road, Lisbon, and Robert Kunkel, 33, of 133 Mathewson St., Jewett City, were arrested following a joint investigation by Norwich police and the Statewide Narcotics Task Force - East, Norwich police said in a post on their Facebook page late Thursday. Officers seized 218 bags of fentanyl, according to the post.
Both men were held on bond and were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 31, the post said.
