Carol Kant

Montville — Carol A. Kant, 74, of Uncasville, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on July 25, 1943, to the late Valentine and Ann (Faraone) Grimm.

Carol enjoyed life and believed in being happy and smiling every day. She loved music and dancing. She loved going to polka dances and frequented the Montville Senior Center, taking her zentangle art class. In most recent years, she loved spending time with her grandkids. Her greatest companions were her dogs, Molly, Bailey and Max.

She is survived by her daughters, Erica Bell and her husband, Mark, of Uncasville, Danielle Ladia and her husband, Marcus, of Oakdale and Andrea Tobey and her husband, Eric, of New London. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan Smith, Tyler, Kyle and Nicholas Ladia and Ian, Natalia and Julian Tobey.

Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 82 Norwich New London Turnpike, Uncasville. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Cemetery, Depot Road, Montville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.
