Raymond Randel

Waterford — Raymond Charles Randel, 66, of Waterford, passed on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, after a brief illness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Nolan Randel; beloved daughter and son-in-law, Maryl (Randel) Gilbert and Christopher Gilbert; mother, Patricia Randel; sisters and brother and their families; sisters-in-law and their families; and friends and neighbors. His wife and daughter were with him when he passed — so he was not alone.

Ray enjoyed Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, ice hockey and fishing.

We wish to thank his private doctors and nurses and the medical staff at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, and in particular the Medical ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven.

Ray’s wife and daughter will be making arrangements for a small memorial celebration to be held on Long Island, N.Y., at a future date to be determined. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
