Lawrence Flynn II

New London — Lawrence Ronan Flynn II, 26, of North Attleboro, Mass., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 18, 2018, at his summer home in New London. He was born in Cambridge, Mass., on May 16, 1992, to Pamela and Christophe­r Flynn. He is survived by his parents, his sisters Caitlin and Caroline, and his brother Patrick, as well as his maternal grandparen­ts, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Lawrence graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Mass., in 2010. He was an accomplish­ed athlete, lettering in varsity hockey and lacrosse. He enjoyed spending his free time with his many close friends. He often swam and fished at Guthrie Beach, and loved to skateboard and snowboard. Lawrence had an adventurou­s spirit and made friends everywhere he went. He cherished the companions­hip of his dog Coco, and cat Kaye.

Lawrence fought a courageous battle against osteosarco­ma over the past five years. His family owes a deep gratitude to the many doctors and nurses who cared for Lawrence at Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund Clinic and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, at St. Joseph Church in New London. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
