Quaker Hill — Michael A. Muscarella, 55, of California, passed away June 6, 2018. He was the son of Phyllis (Kaiko) Gorra and the late Anthony P. Muscarella. He grew up in Quaker Hill and graduated from Waterford High in 1981.

In his youth he played Little League baseball and Peewee football. He was a carpenter by trade, learning his skills at a very young age from his dad. He always enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, hunting, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors.

Although Michael had some difficulties in his life, he would be there for anyone that needed him. We are hoping that he has found peace where it was missing in his earthly realm.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Raymond Muscarella of Cut Bank, Mont., and a sister, Vicki Strickland of Quaker Hill. He is also survived by his stepmother Margaret (Dragoli) Muscarella of Massachusetts, step-siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his father, Anthony P. Muscarella; stepfather Robert Gorra; and his best friend, Todd Seidell.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Avenue, New London.
