Arlene Norman
Stonington — Arlene S. Norman, 95, of Stonington, passed away peacefully, on Friday, July 6, 2018, at The Royal in Westerly,
The daughter of James and Julia Sullivan, she was born in Norwich, on Dec. 19, 1922.
A graduate of Willimantic State Teacher’s College, she taught for many years in the Norwich Public School System.
On April 24, 1948, she married Raymond Norman in Norwich. In 1969, they moved to Lord’s Point, Stonington, where they enjoyed being involved in the small coastal community.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Allan) Ferguson, Patty (Ray) Norcia and Jean (Tom) Lance; grandchildren, Jesse (Marie) Norcia, Andy Ferguson and Tricia Lance. She is also survived by great-granddaughters Lauren and Gia; brother Eugene Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ray in 2004.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at St. Mary Church in Stonington.
